Real charity is not something you give away;

it is something that you acquire and make a part of yourelf. And when the virtue of charity becomes implanted in your heart, you are never the same again. It makes the thought of being a basher repulsive.

Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don't judge or categorize someone else, when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or remain quiet. Charity is accepting someone's differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings. Having patients with someone who has let us down or resisting the impulse to become offended when someone doesn't handle something the way we might have hoped. Charity is refusing to take advantage of another's weakness and being willing to forgive someone who has hurt us. Charity is execting the best of each other.

Home

I have my kids home at last....

Some funny stories and adventures from their
stay to come.

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

I miss them, oh, so terribly.

Our kids are at their MeeMaw's and oh, how we miss them.
It makes you thankful and wish for their little attitudes, and
fits. Two more days and they are all mine, but I am sure that
it will only be a day or two before Max is telling me that
he wants to go back to Fayette. Life is always better and much
more fun when you are at MeeMaw's house.

Kiddo's

Just putting some cute things that Max and Ava have said in the last little bit..

Max: Mom you need to start making sure that you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Mom: OK, I will try, but why?

Max: So we can have a baby next summer. That is how it works, right?

Oh, if it were only that easy.

Ava new favorite words are Why? and No No. She has had some help learning the no no from a certain aunt and uncle. Thanks guys..

Max is always coming up with crazy, funny things to say, and sometimes I just can't help but laugh. Even when I should not be laughing.

The other day he walked up to Dallas and patted his bum, looked at his dad and said, "Your bum is squishy dad." Gee thanks Max.

Ava loves to sing in the car. She will sit in her seat and just sing... la la la la.. forever.. Max asked the other day, mom can you please make her stop I just don't like that song.

It is great to watch our two beautiful kids grow into little people. It makes me sad and sometimes I cry, where did my babies go? Why can't they stay little just a little longer...??
Ava just loves her big brother, she would follow him everywhere if she could. I love it when I catch her just watching him, the look of awe in her eyes can bring tears to my eyes.
The other day Max decided that he wanted to tie up Ava's hand and feet with a jump rope and she just followed him over to the chair and let him tie her up. She thinks it is great. Sadly one day that will change and they will probably be bickering all the time. I just need to enjoy it while I can.

Time

Once again it has been a while since I have posted anything. I swear I do not know where the time goes. When did our Max grow up to be 4. 4 I say. I can't believe it. Ava will be 2 in just over 3 months. WHAT???? I just had her. Now she is walking, screaming at Max, and talking when she feels the urge.
Easter has come and gone for the year. Dallas and I have had birthdays. My best friend had her 3rd baby, and man is she beautiful. I am a total looser and have yet to go and see her. Steph, the time I was close we all had killer colds and I know you did not want us within 10 miles of your house.

Max is almost through his 2nd year of pre-school and keeps going back and forth on wanting to go to kindergarten. I am not ready for him to be old enough for kindergarten. He is still my little boy and I want to keep him that way as long as possible. Not much longer. He is so smart and always wants to know things in great detail. No short, quick answer for him. It has to be a long 5-10 minute discussion about anything and everything that comes up. I love it.

Ava is growing like a weed, but she is of course a flower. She changes every time I go to get her out of her crib. Her hair is getting long and does not look to bad where Max gave her a little trim. It is growing back nicely. Her personality is so much different than Max's. They are so much fun and exhausting. Ava is a little mother, she loves to pat Max on the head or rub his back when he is upset. She is always concerned if someone is a little off. She loves chap stick, lotion, foundation (I have a huge spot on the carpet to prove it), and anything girl. She is 100% girl, with an occasional gun thrown in there. She is a blast. She goes nonstop, she is our daredevil, I know that I am going to walk into the kitchen one day and she will be standing on the fridge. I am not looking forward to that day.

Just a couple quick notes on what Max has said the last little while.

We were at my mom's for Easter, he ran into the house and let me know that he needed to poop.

Max sitting on the toilet:
Mom, my bum cheeks are soo full.

Mom, are my cheeks red?
Yes Max they are.
Max: I bet they are mom, because I am pushing as hard as I can.

Mom, I had to let that one go. I'm sorry.

Man, that was hard. I think I need some more protein mom.

Well, Max I don't think protein is the answer, how about some fiber.

I will post some pictures soon. I hope sooner rather than later. My
computer at home is not working so well, but I will try to get some
on here soon.

Have a great day.
